Good Morning Ginny,
Just wanted to send you a few pics of how things are going so far. Foster is such a great dog and is fabulous with the kids. Last evening we gave both Macie (our Weim) and Foster a good bath and brushing. Macie and Foster are adjusting....they have been playing but it tends to get a little aggressive. I'm hoping that it is just an adjustment period and they are getting used to each other and what they will and won't tolerate. We only had one accident so far and we are working on the commands "come" and "stay".
Thanks again for all your help and we couldn't be happier :)

Update October 2011:
Dear Ginny,
We have had Foster now for about 2 months and he is such a great addition to our family. My kids, especially my 18 month old, just adore him. Every morning the kids wake up and give him a hug. What a gentle dog he is. Here is a recent picture of him sitting with Madelyn.
Thank you.

Update August 2011:
Hi Ginny:
We just love our little girl! We named her Chloe. She is a play all day, snuggle by night bundle of sweetness. She surprises us every day with things she already knows, like tapping on our back door to let us know when she wants to go out and that she prefers to drink from a cup than her dog bowl! She gets along fine with our other dog and I have found that just like with kids – the love is not divided, it multiplies. J She brings out the best of us and we feel so lucky and blessed to be her forever home. Thank you so much for what you do – this little baby is a precious gift to us.

Julie was adopted!
Update August 2011:
Hi Ginny;
I just wanted to let you know how well Julie is doing with us. We have renamed her Nellie, and she is such a wonderful addition to our family! She is really starting to come out of her shell, and loves to play. We are still working on teaching her to walk on the leash without pulling, but she seems convinced that the blue leash is just another toy to play with.

Pepper was adopted!
Update August 2011:
I want to thank you so much for Coco (pepper)! We love her so much. Since The first day she walked in the house it was like she knew this was her home. She has done great with going to the bathroom out side. So far no accidents. We are working on leach training, this has been out biggest challenge. We are going to K9 camp in September to help both of us.
We have found she has a thing for socks so we have to keep all dirty clothes in the bathroom with the door shut.
She is the most loving dog and has to have her head next to you or even on you while sleeping at night. :) I'll keep you posted on how she is doing.

Mary was adopted!
Update August 2011:
Hi Jill! I wanted to take a minute to let you know that we came to see “Mary” last night and fell in love with her! We took her home with us and are so happy we did!
We changed her name to “Carli” since she didn’t seem to respond to Mary yet. We figured now would be the time to change it. We bathed her, fed her and she instantly became a part of our home. My sons are 13 and 6 and they are so excited to take care of and love her. They slept in our family room last night so they would be close to her.
She is such a sweet girl. I took her with me on a run this morning and she was fantastic on the leash. Our property has water access and my kids took her swimming for two hours today and she loved every minute of it.
I just want to thank you again for being so responsive to my email inquiries!
Have a great day!

Prince Harry was adopted!
Update August 2011:
Dear Ginny,
It has been 3 weeks since we brought home Prince Harry. For starters, we decided to keep his name. He truly is royalty and he is Harry. Last Friday, Harry voclised his first barks for us while he was romping in a local stream with a dog pal. Harry is a perfect little gentleman and is becoming acclimated with life with us. He is everything we wanted in a dog.
Attached are the two of his pictures from when we took him for his first swim.
Thank you for Harry.

Thomas was adopted
Update July 2011:
Hi Ginny-
Thomas is wonderful! We renamed him Rodey, after prolonged and intense negotations. He's already very integrated into the family- wants to be with us, roams the house freely, etc. We can't believe how gentle he is with the girls and how mellow his temperment is. We actually got him to play a little fetch this morning, after he had allowed me to brush him, "clean" him with some wipes, and clean his ears. He did better with the ears than our previous dog ever did, even after we'd had him for years. He's being respectful of the cats, and while obviously curious about them, is not chasing or approaching when they're letting him know they want their space.
Here's some pictures we took this morning outside. The girls adore him. We're so happy he's part of our family!

Update July 2011:
I just wanted to let you know that Layla has settled in very well to our home. It's only been four days and you would think she's been here her whole life!! As you will see from the pictures, she has made herself right at home!
She is getting along with both of my dogs, the pomeranian wants no parts of her though! She has very good manners, seems to be housebroken(no accidents), and has the sweetest personality!! Such a lovebug!!
I would like to say how much we truly appreciate the opportunity you have given us to give this beautiful dog her forever home!!! Our family is now complete!!!
Having fun in her backyard that has lots of space for her to play.
We call this "Mud, What Mud?" After the hurricane, Jasmine had lots of fun playing in backyard mud puddles.
Sleeping with one of her new cat friends.

Update July 2011:
Lacey, now Princess Jasmine
What an amazing dog! She is the perfect addition to our family. A dream come true for all of us. She is so smart and sweet. We love our Jasmine a.k.a. Jazzy. Thank you!
Update October 2011:
Hi Ginny,
It's been approx. three months since we adopted Jasmine and I wanted to send you a quick update. She is perfect for our family and enjoys taking the children to the bus stop in the morning followed by a long walk and backyard fun playing fetch. She is the princess around here sleeping on the couch, my bed, and well anywhere she wants. :)
The cats deal with her, but she LOVES them and likes to give all three baths. I never saw a dog give a cat a bath before. So cute! I'll send you updated pictures soon.
She just graduated from the Delaware Academy for Dogs and was an outstanding student. She is so smart.
Thank you again for working with us to find a dog that likes cats. I will continue to update you on our amazing, wonderful, lovable furry friend.
Fondly,
Michelle Truban & family
Bella was adopted!
Update September 2011:
Dear Ginny,
We adopted Bella in July and couldn't be happier. She is sweet and
loving, yet full of energy. She loves to go for runs (we take turns)
and she's made lots of friends in the neighborhood. She has completely
adjusted to her new home, and we cannot imagine ours without her.
Thank you so much for all that you do.
Warm regards,
The Ruben Family
Max was adopted!
Update August 2011:
Hi Ginny,
We adopted Magic (who was then known as Maxx), the black lab/mastiff mix on 7/11 and could not be happier. What a great guy he is! Talk about personality!! He's had no potty accidents, knows basic commands and is a pretty good listener. In the past few weeks we have been showing Magic what a 'forever home' is all about...walks, play dates, bark park, and most importantly cuddle time with his people. He picked up weight within the first week or so and is looking fabulous!
We feel so lucky to have him and are greatful for the good work you and your organization do. If Magic could talk, I'm sure he'd say the same.
Pictures to come soon!

Butterfingers was adopted!
Update July 2011:
Hi Ginny,
Everything's going really well so far -- Butterfingers is adjusting after her first two nights and we have named her Zelda. She barked at the cat at first but we corrected her and now they seem to be getting used to each other. She's starting to recognize her name and getting a little better on the leash. Plus she is playing some fetch and surprising us with other little things she knows. She is quite a charming little ragamuffin!
Update September 2011:
Hi Ginny,
Hope all is well with you. Zelda is a very happy dog and we love her!
Here are a couple of recent photos.
